Law Enforcement Child Month Toolkit
Join Us in Celebrating Law Enforcement Children
July marks the very first Law Enforcement Child Month- founded in collaboration by Gratitude Initiative, the Fraternal Order of Police, the FOP Auxiliary, Lexipol, and Police1 – to recognize and honor the children and families who serve alongside our nation’s law enforcement officers every day. Law Enforcement families know all too well that their children grow up differently than most Americans. Behind every uniform is a family making sacrifices few people fully see — revolving around long shifts, missed milestones, unpredictable schedules, and the realities that come with commitment to a dangerous profession. Despite the challenges and life revolving around duty, police kids show resilience, adaptability, courage, and pride in the badge. Law enforcement kids are built different, and it’s time to show them recognition.
Law Enforcement Child Month encourages, educates, and equips law enforcement families while strengthening the communities that stand beside them. Strong families are the foundation of strong officers, and when families feel supported and valued, entire communities benefit. This free toolkit is designed to help agencies, organizations, and community members participate in meaningful ways throughout the month of July. All materials are downloadable and designed to be used with individual department/organization logos, making participation easy. Together, we can ensure every law enforcement child knows that they matter and are appreciated!
